China-based DEEP Robotics has unveiled the DR02, an industrial-grade humanoid robot that it says is the first in the world to achieve full-body IP66 waterproof and dustproof protection. The robot can operate in temperatures from –20°C to 55°C and perform tasks such as factory operations and outdoor security patrols, enabling “all-weather, all-scenario” use.

Standing 175 cm tall, the DR02 features a human-like design, a standard walking speed of 1.5 m/s, and a maximum speed of 4 m/s. It can climb 20 cm stairs, handle 20° slopes, and carry up to 20 kg. A modular quick-detach design allows for fast maintenance, while its 275 TOPS computing unit and multi-sensor system support real-time environmental perception and path planning. DEEP Robotics said the DR02 aims to address a key limitation in the industry—robots’ poor adaptability to complex real-world conditions. [TechNode reporting]
