Babela technological multinational of Spanish origin with a global presence, has announced the progress achieved by implementing Artificial Intelligence in its internal processes under its “Human-In-The-Loop” model. This approach, based on intervention y supervision humana of automated systems, places people at the center of the digital transformation for the company and its clients.
Luis BarreiroDirector of Strategy and Innovation at Babel, confirms that “we start from an approach in which our professionals constantly interact with AI tools and applications to improve workflows and processes. The results of this combination of people and machine already translate into superior operational efficiency, greater commercial speed, high quality services and added strategic value.” Babel has deployed more than a hundred use cases of AI in 17 business areas, which has so far translated into the saving more than 1,000 hours of repetitive tasks per month.
The implementation of AI covers different key areas, from Operations and People until Internal Systems, Legal, Finance y Marketing. In the People area, for example, the company uses algorithms to analyze more than 10,000 skills and certifications of its staff, which allows each professional to be assigned to the appropriate project. “Automation speeds up administrative tasks and frees up time for creativity, analysis and direct relationships with the employee. For 35% of our new junior hires, it is a key tool to shorten the learning curve and accelerate integration,” underlines Luis Barreiro.
In Operations, AI automates the management of deliverables, standardizes formats and generates drafts, facilitating faster negotiations and fewer bottlenecks. In Finance, algorithms reduce steps in document validation and minimize repetitive tasks, while in Legal they allow the preparation of minutes and review of contracts with greater efficiency and compliance. Luis Barreiro clarifies that “all these processes are governed by a control and security framework aligned with European regulations, including the future Artificial Intelligence Law (AI Act), ensuring data protection and human supervision in each cycle.”
In Internal Systems, digital assistants allow the same team to attend to more requests without losing quality, while in Marketing, AI improves segmentation, automates the sending of messages and facilitates the preparation of reports, bringing campaigns closer to their audiences with greater precision.
Babel plans to continue expanding the base of AI cases on metrics and objective quantification, in order to maintain a scalable, secure and verifiable implementation. “Our purpose is put technology at the service of people and contribute to society. True innovation comes when the machine frees professionals to generate talent and provide strategic and human value,” concludes Luis Barreiro.
