The season of pumpkin spice and crisp autumn evenings brings a bounty of new movies and shows to watch on Netflix, Apple TV Plus and other streaming services, as well as broadcast and cable channels.

Cozy up with Kathy Bates’ sleuth as “Matlock” season 2 delivers courtroom drama with a twist, or catch the action and heart of “9-1-1: Nashville” as first responders tackle high-stakes emergencies. For an action-packed rollercoaster, journey to remote, untamed landscapes in the gripping escape-prisoners drama “The Last Frontier.

On the movie side, thriller fans won’t want to miss the tense, suspenseful turns of Keira Knightley’s “The Woman in Cabin 10.” Here are our top picks for new TV shows and movies to watch this weekend.
