It’s tough to find a more eye-catching or stylish flip phone than the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra in Pantone Scarab, which is on a good deal right now.

One of our favourite things about the current state of the smartphone industry is that clamshell phones no longer look like miniature versions of a standard smartphone – they have real character and style. The latest offering from Motorola is a perfect example of this, resulting in us awarding it the best foldable phone of the year.

We’ve spotted the Razr 60 Ultra with 500GB of data for £38.99 a month, with only a £9 upfront cost on ID Mobile (running from Three). This is through Mobiles.co.uk, where you can also claim a Moto Buds Loop and Moto Tag bundle, just to sweeten the offer.

Speaking from experience, it’s tough to overstate just how beautiful the foldable 7-inch Super HD pOLED display is. The 165Hz refresh rate of the panel makes scrolling through apps feel incredibly smooth, and with the ability to fold the screen in half, you don’t have to worry about fitting a full-size 7-inch screen in your pocket.

Of course, being a super high-end flip phone in 2025, you don’t just have to rely on the Super HD pOLED panel for entertainment; you also have a massive 4-inch cover screen that, unlike options from Samsung, lets you run practically any Android app. This should seriously reduce how often you need to unfold the phone, particularly for quick tasks like replying to messages or getting directions in Google Maps.

Under the hood, the Razr 60 Ultra packs serious processing power with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which not only delivers blisteringly fast speeds but also enhances the phone’s AI capabilities.

The 50MP dual camera offering, embedded into the cover screen, can provide tons of colour and detail in every photo, making the phone perfect for capturing those spontaneous moments without needing to carry around a more expensive dedicated camera.

At this point, you might be thinking that such an impressive phone must cost a small fortune, but the 512GB model of the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, which comes with the most available storage, is available for just £38.99 a month with £9 upfront, with 500GB of data on ID Mobile, via Mobiles.co.uk.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra

The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra may look very similar to its predecessor, but it makes plenty of improvements under the hood that put it right on track to be the flip phone to beat in 2025. The Android update promise is disappointing, and I’d rather a telephoto lens than an ultrawide, but the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has a lovely design, great internal and external displays, decent camera performance, a solid battery life and superb performance. There is very, very little not to love.

  • Excellent and brighter external display

  • Solid camera performance

  • Unique finish options

  • Smooth performance

  • Only 3 years of Android OS updates

  • Moto AI still needs work

  • No telephoto lens
