I Found the 5 Best Tech Deals on Laptops, Speakers, TVs, and More for Your Weekend Shopping Spree

Every weekend, I celebrate two days of sleeping in and not looking at my computer by pulling out five killer tech deals from the last five days. These are the creme de la creme, well-reviewed products at price cuts of 25% or more. This week, we’ve got a massive discount on smart security cameras, a battle-ready Lenovo laptop, one of our favorite Bluetooth speakers, and more. No matter what you’re looking for, we’ve got a way to save you money on it.

Blink Camera Deal

If you’re worried about ghosts and goblins crossing your transom on Halloween, snap up this excellent 60% discount on a pair of all-weather security cameras from Amazon and you can have them up and running before night falls. We raved about the Blink Outdoor 4 in our review, noting that it was simple to install, integrates with IFTTT smart home systems and Alexa, and boasts epic battery life. An optional Blink subscription plan ($3 a month) gets you people alerts and cloud video storage, but you can also record locally with a drive connected to the Sync Module.

TCL TV Deal

If you need a new big screen to binge Netflix, you can’t beat the QM6K, which we raved about when we reviewed it in February. It’s got deep contrast with inky blacks and vivid colors, Google TV with hands-free Google Assistant, and super-low input lag. Product expert Will Greenwald also praised its gamer-friendly features, saying “if you want to play lots of games on your TV, the QM6K’s 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro make it worth the extra money.” That extra cost is eliminated with a massive 35% price cut at Best Buy.

Samsung Soundbar Deal

Modern TVs are great, but if you really care about sound, you’re not getting what you need from their built-in speakers. A soundbar is one of the best ways to get theatrical audio in a relatively small footprint, and a 52% price cut at Woot makes this Samsung setup one of the best deals we’ve seen in weeks. We reviewed the previous model, the Q990C, a few years back, and raved about its rich spatial audio, deep bass and Q-Symphony support for compatible Samsung TVs. The Q990F is even better.

Lenovo Laptop Deal

The weekend’s best laptop deal is this tasty 26% price drop on a reliable Lenovo that will keep you productive no matter where you go. In our review, we noted that it shares many of the downsides of budget portable PCs, most notably a slightly dim screen, but the trade-off is battery life. Running for nearly 30 hours on a single charge is absolutely incredible. The ARM-based Snapdragon processor is ultra-efficient, and while the rest of the component loadout isn’t life-changing, it’s quite good for the price. The build quality is sturdy, it’s not too heavy, and it has all the ports you need.

Beats Bluetooth Speaker Deal

We gave an Editors’ Choice award to the Beats Pill in our review, raving about the portable speaker’s assertive, bass-forward sound profile, dustproof and waterproof design, and simple iOS compatibility including Find My support. Up to 24 hours of battery life means it can run all night long, and the racetrack woofer with neodymium magnets pushes a ton of volume through a small form factor. While it lacks flashy LED lighting and customizable EQ, it’s still one of the best plug-and-play Bluetooth speakers on the market.
