The OnePlus 15’s global launch is just two weeks away. OnePlus announced Wednesday that the upcoming phone will get its grand reveal on Nov. 13.
The announcement comes just two days after the OnePlus 15 launched in China, featuring the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.78-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a big 7,300-mAh battery. The phone also includes a 120-watt wired charging speed for this model, although it’s worth noting that most US-bound OnePlus phones do not match the same charging speeds.
The global date announcement does feature the same three colors that the China model launched with, including Sand Storm, black and purple. OnePlus previously announced that the Sand Storm model will be made from a material that’s tougher than titanium. The Alert Slider is also not returning, instead being replaced by a customizable button — likely similar to the Action Button that we’ve seen on recent iPhone models.
The November launch for the OnePlus 15 is early for the company, as prior OnePlus models have launched in January — including the OnePlus 13 from earlier this year. OnePlus is skipping the number 14, but there is some precedence for this with the company also skipping the number 4 when moving from the OnePlus 3 to the OnePlus 5 in 2017.
The OnePlus 15 is otherwise expected to ship with Android 16 and the OxygenOS overlay. We’ll find out more when the phone’s Nov. 13 global launch arrives.
