DJI has launched the Neo 2, a 151 g lightweight follow-me drone designed as a “flying personal photographer.” The Neo 2 adds full omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, gesture control, and smart selfie features, allowing easy palm takeoff and automatic subject tracking for everyday aerial shooting.

Equipped with a 1/2-inch 12 MP CMOS sensor, the Neo 2 supports 4K/60fps and 4K/100fps slow-motion video, offers up to 19 minutes of flight time, and includes 49 GB of internal storage. Pricing in China starts at RMB 1,499 (US$205), with higher-tier bundles including extra batteries and accessories. [TechNode reporting]
