It looks like Apple isn’t quite done with hardware launches for the year. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a new Apple TV and HomePod mini could arrive as soon as this month – potentially in time for the holiday shopping season.
In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman says Apple retail stores are preparing for an overnight refresh on November 11, a move often tied to the rollout of new products or display changes. While the update could simply be related to preparation for the holidays, there are growing signs that new Apple TV and HomePod mini models may arrive shortly after.
Gurman notes that inventories of current models are tightening, which typically hints at upcoming replacements. Even if they don’t debut this month, he adds, the updated devices “shouldn’t be far off.”
Both devices are expected to highlight Apple’s new Siri and Apple Intelligence features coming next year. These updates could help position Apple’s smart home lineup for a bigger push in 2026, as the company focuses more on integrating AI across its ecosystem.
Moreover, Apple has already indicated that no new Macs will be released for the rest of 2025, making the Apple TV and HomePod mini the most likely final hardware launches of the year.
The move would also give Apple a refreshed home lineup heading into the busy holiday shopping season that is traditionally one of its strongest sales periods.
Reactions from Apple fans have been mixed. Some are eager for an upgrade, saying they’re “ready for a new Apple TV” or “would definitely buy it” if it arrives this year. Others are taking a more cautious stance, noting that the Apple TV “has been ‘just about to launch’ for a while now.”
For now, nothing is official, but if Gurman’s reporting is correct, Apple could soon round out 2025 with one – or two – more surprise.
