The UK division of Salesforce has reduced its team by 10% in another round of job cuts, according to new accounts filed with Companies House.
The company’s headcount fell from 2,964 members in 2024 to 2,673 employees this year, despite turnover increasing by 11% year-on-year to almost £1.87bn.
The firm’s latest financial results showed operating profit was up 184% year-on-year, and shareholder funds swelled by 111%. Pre-tax profit surged by 65% from £51.9m to £85.7m, too.
News of the job losses come after Salesforce announced that it would be cutting a further 1,000 roles across its global team earlier this year. In February, CityAM reported that despite these cuts, the cloud software firm was still recruiting for AI salespeople.
In line with this pivot, Salesforce announced plans in September to invest £4.6bn in its UK business through 2030, supporting the UK’s AI innovation goals. It says the investment will support UK and European companies’ transformation, with humans and AI agents working together to drive customer success.
The company said it is committed to ensuring the UK workforce is equipped with the skills needed to benefit from the AI transformation.
