Huawei launched pre-orders for the Mate 70 Air today, starting at RMB 4,199 ($580). Touted as the thinnest flagship in the Mate series’ history, the device measures just 6.6mm thick. It uses an aerospace-grade titanium alloy frame and ultra-ceramic glass, which help reduce weight while improving durability. The Mate 70 Air is powered by two versions of the Kirin 9020 chip: the 16GB RAM model comes with the Kirin 9020A, while the 12GB model features the Kirin 9020B. Paired with HarmonyOS 5.1, the Mate 70 Air comes with key specs such as a 7-inch display and a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. The phone comes in three color options—black, white, and silver—and will go on sale on November 11. [Huawei Weibo, in Chinese]
