Well-known leaker Ice Universe has released images of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra screen protectors. According to these visuals, the 2026 version will adopt visibly more rounded corners than its predecessor – a farewell to the “Galaxy Note” silhouette of previous years – without however reaching the level of curvature of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

A design that remains familiar

Furthermore, although the panel remains announced at 6.9 inches – identical to that of the S25 Ultra – the dimensions change: the height would go from 162.8 mm to 163.4 mm and the width from 77.6 mm to 77.9 mm. Nothing dramatic at first glance, but this slight increase in volume increases the bulk of the phone. In terms of thickness and weight, the Galaxy S26 Ultra should be thinner (excluding the photo module) and lighter, with an announced weight of around 217 g. However, the additional thickness imposed by the optical unit could tip the scales in the other direction.

The leaks do not stop at the chassis: the interior of the future model would also be revised. A new processor, improved photo sensors… Samsung is banking on increased performance to stay in the race. But what the manufacturer could stumble on is the Price. The Galaxy S25 Ultra already started at €1,400; with rising costs, any additional increase could deter potential buyers, even if we know that Samsung smartphones have a certain tendency to quickly discount.

Rumors also suggest a simplified range: the models should be limited to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. The “Edge” model seems relegated to an isolated edition while the S26 Pro remains in the shadows.

The launch schedule has also been clarified. The Galaxy Unpacked event would be held in San Francisco on Wednesday, February 25, almost a month after previous editions. This late date could signal a slight postponement of the S26 range. However, it would allow Samsung to make a strong impression just before the Mobile World Congress show, which will start on March 2 in Barcelona.

We should therefore not expect a revolution for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, nothing earth-shattering but enough relief to keep the attention. The main question mainly revolves around the price, especially if it climbs further.
