When it comes to Pokémon Cyber Monday deals, you’re going to have a hard time finding any worthwhile discounts on the trading cards themselves. (I know because I’ve been looking for days, with the assistance of my Pokémon-collecting friend whom I appreciate very much for his help.) Any such discounts are few and far between, and sell out almost immediately thanks to our old friends, the scalpers (shakes fist). Check your local card shops for cards that aren’t priced scarily high over MSRP. But if you’re shopping for a Pokémon fan, there are still some Cyber Monday discounts worth perusing that’ll make great gifts, and I’ve rounded them up below.
We haven’t hand-tested everything in this list, but we know WIRED readers are searching for Pokémon gifts. For additional discounts on hand-tested gear, check our list of the very best Cyber Monday deals.
WIRED Featured Deals:
A Backpack Clip
Backpack clips and bag charms aren’t going away any time soon. This little Pikachu Squishmallow can be clipped onto either, and might I say that it’d look mighty fine attached to a stocking on the morning of a certain holiday? I can attest to the clip’s durability—I have a similar plush charm from the brand that I’ve toted to music festivals across the country. It’s still going strong despite putting it through situations no keychain should be forced to endure.
An Art Kit for Road Trips
This art kit comes from Crayola and would be especially smart to have on hand if your family will be traveling for the holidays. There are a few different variations on sale at various prices for Cyber Monday. Each comes with themed coloring pages, plus stickers and art supplies, all housed in a handy carrying case.
A Giant Starter Poké Plush
There are a few of these giant 20-inch plush Pokémon Squishmallows on sale, but I’m partial to Rowlet since he was my starter. Just look at his little face! If you prefer other Pokémon types, you can also save on Pikachu, Sprigatito, and Torchic while supplies last. The 20-inch Squishmallows are my favorite size because they basically double as pillows or backrests while I’m lounging around.
