MediaTek on Friday dismissed recent speculations that NVIDIA would acquire the company for $73 billion. The speculation arose after details of the GB10 super chip, co-developed by NVIDIA and MediaTek, were released. The two firms are working closely on CPU and GPU design as well as advanced packaging technologies, fueling market chatter. However, any potential acquisition by NVIDIA would likely face complex international regulatory scrutiny. Meanwhile, MediaTek said it is steadily advancing its business roadmap, including the launch of its upcoming Dimensity 9500 chip. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
