At the Game Awards (TGA) 2025, Chinese developer S-GAME said its AAA title Phantom Blade Zero will be released on Sept. 9, 2026, on PlayStation, Steam and other platforms. The Beijing-based studio said the third-person action role-playing game, which combines martial-arts themes with steampunk elements, is built on Unreal Engine 5 and will support Dolby Atmos and NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.0 at launch. The game features a linear progression mixed with semi-open exploration areas, a dual-weapon switching system and boss fights using dynamic counter-AI. Industry observers are watching whether the title can match the global attention generated by Chinese hit Black Myth: Wukong. [TechNode reporting]
