He WLAN networks market for companies grew by 7.8% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Thus, between July and September of this year it recorded sales of 2.7 billion dollars, according to data from the consulting firm IDC.
However, this is a lower growth in the WLAN networks sector than in the first two quarters of this year, periods in which sales of components for these networks rose by 10.5% and 13.4% year-on-year respectively.
One of the aspects that has most led to the growth of the WLAN networks market for companies is the adoption of new WiFi standards, such as WiFi 6E. and WiFi 7, which allow the bandwidth for WiFi in the 6 GHz band to be tripled in certain areas.
WiFi 7, in fact, recorded 31.3% of the market revenue in terms of dependent access points in the third quarter of 2025, compared to 21% in the previous quarter. As for WiFi 6E, it accounted for 24.5% of the revenues of the dependent access points segment. WiFi 6 accounted for the rest of the revenue.
In the Americas, the enterprise WLAN network market grew by 6% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025. In EMEA, the WLAN network market grew by 12.8% year-on-year, and in Asia-Pacific, by 5.6% year-on-year. In China, the sector’s sales revenue fell 1.3% year-on-year.
The main manufacturers of components for WALN networks are Cisco, HPE, Ubiquiti, Huawei and CommScope (Ruckus Networks). In the reported period of 2025, Cisco’s revenue fell 3% year-on-year to $992.4 million, leaving the company with a fencing share in the third quarter of this year of 37.4%.
HPE’s revenue improved 1.6% year over year to $512.2 million, with a market share of 19.3%. After the purchase of Juniper in July 2025, HPE’s revenues in this sector also include those of the acquired company.
As for Ubiquiti, its WLAN network revenue improved 47.1% in the third quarter of 2025 to $300.3 million. It currently has a market share of 11.3%. As for Huawei, its sales revenue from the WLAN area in the third quarter improved by 33.7% to 238 million, giving it a market share of 9%. Finally, CommScope’s enterprise WLAN revenue improved 18% year over year to $93.3 million, giving it a 3.5% market share.
Brandon Butler, Research Director, Enterprise Networks, IDChas commented that «The continued growth of the enterprise WLAN market is driven by new standards such as Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E, which enable a significant amount of new spectrum for Wi-Fi and expand the use cases for this important enterprise connectivity technology. IDC research shows that organizations are also increasingly prioritizing WLAN systems that integrate with the broader networking stack through platform-based approaches, feature robust built-in security, and facilitate the deployment and ongoing management of Wi-Fi systems through the use of AI-based networking capabilities.«.
