Mercedes-Benz and Chinese autonomous driving company Momenta will introduce a jointly developed intelligent driver assistance system this fall in the all-new electric CLA produced in China. Based on Momenta’s Flywheel Big Model, a reinforcement learning-driven end-to-end AI system, the technology supports driving on highways, urban streets, and parking from one space to another, and will expand to more Mercedes-Benz models over time. The system was co-developed by German and Chinese engineering teams to adapt to China’s complex traffic and road conditions, combining Mercedes-Benz’s vehicle dynamics expertise with Momenta’s AI technology.
