OPENAI has introduced a personalised end-of-year round-up called Your Year with ChatGPT.
Here’s everything you need to know about the dynamic digest, which is unsurprisingly drawing comparisons with the hugely popular Spotify Wrapped.
What is Your Year with ChatGPT?
Your Year with ChatGPT is OpenAI’s new end-of-year feature offering users a personalised snapshot of their interactions with the chatbot over the course of 2025.
The summary translates your year of conversations into colourful visuals, stats and insights.
Designed to be lighthearted and privacy‑conscious, it highlights how you’ve used ChatGPT over the year.
The feature is seamlessly integrated into both the web and mobile versions of ChatGPT, with the aim of providing users with an entertaining look at their digital habits.

What does Your Year with ChatGPT show users?
Your Year with ChatGPT takes users on a visual journey through their activity over the previous twelve months.
It displays statistics including the total messages exchanged and the day or month when you were most active on the AI chatbot.
The summary also analyses your behaviour, assigning you an archetype such as The Navigator or The Producer, which best describes your approach to entering prompts.
Users can also earn playful awards like Creative Debugger or Idea Architect.
To make the experience more engaging, the recap includes AI‑generated pixel art illustrating the topics you discussed most.
It also features a short personalised poem and a light‑hearted prediction for 2026.
Your Year with ChatGPT also groups your prompts into broad categories like work, personal projects, travel advice and education.
Who is eligible for Your Year with ChatGPT?
Your Year with ChatGPT is out now in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
However, it is only available to individual users on the Free, Plus or Pro plans who meet certain criteria.
You must have both “Reference Saved Memories” and “Reference Chat History” enabled, and also have had enough conversations over the year to trigger the feature.
OpenAI has not specified the exact number of messages or conversations required to trigger Your Year with ChatGPT.
Accounts under Team, Enterprise or Education plans are excluded due to stricter privacy requirements.
How to access Your Year with ChatGPT
Accessing the end-of-year review is simple for eligible users.
The feature has already rolled out on ChatGPT’s iOS, Android and web platforms, appearing either as a banner or pop-up on the home screen.
If it doesn’t appear automatically, you can request it manually by prompting ChatGPT with “Show me my year with ChatGPT”.
Once generated, the recap appears as a swipeable series of cards that can be saved or shared.
Users should note that the experience is read‑only and available for a limited period, though it remains in your chat history once opened.
Deleting the conversation removes the summary permanently within 30 days.
