Apple Fitness+ drops cryptic teaser: ‘Something big is coming’ – 9to5Mac

Apple has published a fun teaser on the Apple Fitness+ Instagram account, promoting what it promises to be “something big” that will land on the service next year. Watch it below.

’The countdown begins’

In the teaser, published as an Instagram Reel, multiple people are reading a newspaper called Apple Fitness+ Times, with multiple flashy headlines claiming that “something big is coming to Apple Fitness+.

The different headlines include:

WHAT’S APPLE FITNESS+ PLANNING FOR THE NEW YEAR?
Trainers spotted filming brand new content.

Sources hint at major moves for 2026.

Experts predict January will be one to watch.

The newspapers also feature scenes from Apple Fitness+ training sessions, while the post description reads “Word on the street is that Apple Fitness+ has big plans for 2026… stay tuned!”

The timing of the post is interesting, as it comes on the heels of a Bloomberg report that claimed that the future of Apple Fitness+ was under review. And while both things can be true, it is still interesting to note that Apple is not only investing in new content, but also actively promoting it.

Today’s teaser also comes a few weeks after Apple announced a major expansion of Apple Fitness+, with AI-powered voice dubbing that allowed it to launch in 28 new markets, with another launch in Japan expected early next year.

Back to the Instagram post, while it obviously doesn’t mention any specifics, it is likely that whatever new content it has in store will be related to the New Year, as one of the headlines reads: “Experts predict January will be one to watch.”

As a reminder, Apple is also expected to release an AI-powered health service in 2026, but this specific post is unlikely to be related to that.
