LG’s Xboom line-up has always been one of my favourite. The speakers and earbuds sound great and look even better. Now, the tech giant has teamed up with music artist will.i.am once again for another refresh to the speaker line-up. This time, it’s all about AI.

These Bluetooth speakers reckon they know what you want to hear before you do. I know, I know. That sentence will probably send your inner cynic into overdrive. But honestly, I’m intrigued. Because these speakers aren’t just about blasting bass in the park, they actually talk to you. At the heart of the new Xboom range is will.i.am’s AI-powered radio called FYI.Radio. It lets you interact with ten different AI Personas via an app or the dedicated My Button on the new speakers. These AI DJs serve up music based on your mood, location, and so on.
The new speaker lineup covers everything from party beasts to outdoorsy types and urban minimalists. The Stage 501 is probably the loudest of the lot, cranking out 220W of sound. Battery life is a chunky 25 hours thanks to a 99Wh swappable battery. It even does karaoke, courtesy of an AI Karaoke Master that’s been trained on over 10000 songs. You can strip out vocals, tweak the pitch, and embarrass yourself thoroughly in front of your mates without an extra subscription.
If you’re more into trekking than karaoke, there’s the Xboom Blast. This one’s a rugged brick with edge bumpers and enough battery to last up to 35 hours. It puts out the same 220W as the Stage 501 and throws in a few passive radiators for good measure. There’s also a handy rope handle, so you can truly take it wherever you go.

Then there’s the Xboom Mini, which ditches brute force for compact charm. It’s got a cube design, 10 hours of battery, IP67 water and dust resistance, and clever Sound Field Enhance tech to stop it sounding like a tin can. You can mount it on a tripod and there’s a strap so you can carry it around on the move.
Finally, there’s the Rock (unrelated to Dwayne Johnson). It’s the spiritual successor to the XG2, now packing 6W of sound and a rugged body tested to military standards. Ten hours of battery life, LE Audio Auracast for sharing across multiple speakers, and a smart button for quick access to app features round out the specs.
While most speakers can throw out a decent beat, all these speakers offer AI Sound and Space Calibration Pro. The former tweaks your EQ automatically based on what you’re listening to, while the latter adapts the sound to wherever you’ve plonked the thing.
The new Xboom by will.i.am speakers will be on show at CES 2026 and will roll out globally later in the year. There’s no word on exact pricing just yet, but we’ll bring you the latest when they’re out.
