The current shareholders of Ayesa (A&M Capital Europe and the Manzanares family) have reached an agreement to sell Ayesa Digital to a group financial formed by the investor of Kutxabank (Indar Kartera), the BBK Foundation, the Basque Government through the investor of the Basque Institute of Finance (Finkatuz) and the technology company Teknei.
The operation will be closed over the next few months, once the competent authorities approve the purchase operation of Ayesa Digital, which is currently one of the five main digital service providers in Spain, and which the group wants to convert into one of the main ones in Europe.
In this new future phase, the firm will be focused on promoting the digitalization of companies and institutions, with the development of capabilities in different areas considered strategic. Among them, AI, cybersecurity, process automation, data management and quantum computing.
The project proposed by the consortium that is going to Buy Ayesa Digital will provide continuity to employment in it, in addition to opening new opportunities for professionals in the technology sector. It currently has more than 11,000 workers, and a consolidated state and international network.
The group will aim to attract highly qualified talent, in addition to promoting training in digital skills and the creation of jobs linked to innovation and development. In addition, it will strengthen the technological value chain, and seek synergies with SMEs and startups to strengthen the industrial fabric and impact the economy in a positive way.
On the other hand, the purchasing consortium of Ayesa Digital will maintain confidence in the management of the current management team, which in the negotiation of the operation has been identified as one of its main assets, and is committed to its continuity. Its CEO, Jose Luis Manzanares, will remain in his position for the moment until the transaction is finalized.
