China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced on Tuesday that Premier Li Qiang will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2024 in Shanghai tomorrow. The AI-themed event will take place from July 4 to July 7 at the Shanghai World Expo Center and Expo Exhibition Hall. The exhibition area of WAIC 2024 exceeds 52,000 square meters, and over 500 companies, including Tesla, Microsoft, and Schneider, have confirmed their participation, according to the organizers. Scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders will gather in Shanghai to discuss cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, and ethical governance in the field of artificial intelligence. Baidu’s Ernie Bot, iFlytek’s Spark, Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen, Zhipu AI, Tencent’s Yuanbao, Huawei’s Pangu, and SenseTime’s SenseNova will all demonstrate their AI product capabilities during the three-day event.
