Amazon is taking advantage of CES 2026 to in turn enter the highly coveted dance of lifestyle televisions. With the Ember Artline, the American giant unveils its very first television designed as a decorative object in its own right, joining a segment already dominated by Samsung and its The Frame, but also occupied by Hisense CanvasTV, TCL Nxtvision and the recent LG Gallery TV. A late, but ambitious arrival, which illustrates the extent to which the living room screen is no longer just an entertainment tool, but also a central element of interior decoration.
The Amazon Ember Artline takes a classic approach. This is a television 4K LED panelbacklit on the edges and equipped with a matte treatment intended to limit reflections and better integrate into bright environments. With a claimed thickness of just 1.5 inches, the device is designed to blend into the wall and mimic the look of a picture frame. Amazon pushes personalization quite far by offering upon purchase the choice between ten magnetic frames with varied finishes, from light wood to metal, including more original shades such as midnight blue or fig.
On a technical level, the Ember Artline is solid without trying to revolutionize the market. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats, relies on Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and will be available in 55 and 65 inches.
Amazon focuses everything on the interface
But it is above all on the software experience that Amazon intends to stand out. The television will inaugurate the new Fire TV interface, announced as faster and more readable, with performance gains of up to 20 to 30%. The objective is to reduce the time spent searching for content in an ecosystem that is increasingly saturated with applications and services.
Like its competitors, Artline focuses heavily on art and ambient display. Amazon promises access to more than 2,000 free works, in addition to full Amazon Photos integration to display personal photos or create slideshows. By photographing the room in which the TV is installed, the system is able to recommend works suited to the decor using AI. The Ember Artline also includes presence sensors, grouped under the name Omnisense, to automatically enable or disable gallery mode depending on the occupancy of the room.
Unsurprisingly, Alexa is omnipresent. Thanks to long-range microphones, the voice assistant can be used remotely, whether to control the connected home, launch content or take advantage of the new generative functions of Alexa+, capable, for example, of finding a specific scene in a film.
Available later this spring, the Amazon Ember Artline will be offered from 899 dollarsframe included. For the moment, the French Price has not been revealed. This is an aggressive positioning that could shake up the balance of a still young market. It remains to be seen whether Amazon will be able to convince beyond its ecosystem, in a segment where aesthetics are as important as image quality.
