We’ve seen travel chargers before, but rarely one that tries to be a tiny command centre. The Glocal RoamPlug aims to do just that.

The GlocalMe RoamPlug pairs a 70W GaN charger with a universal travel adapter and a CloudSIM Wi‑Fi hotspot, allowing users to charge laptops, cameras, and phones while sharing a private connection for up to 10 devices.

One USB‑C can push 65W, another handles 45W, and there’s an AC socket for a bulkier kit.

The charger uses Gallium Nitride (GaN) power electronics to convert AC mains into regulated DC for USB outputs.

USB Power Delivery and PPS protocols negotiate voltage and current with connected devices, allowing a single USB‑C port to supply up to 65W while the unit enforces published combined‑output limits when multiple ports draw power.

Meanwhile, cellular connectivity is provided by an embedded modem supporting multiple LTE FDD, LTE TDD, WCDMA, and GSM bands.

The device uses CloudSIM technology to authenticate with remote carrier profiles in the cloud and select the strongest available network from participating operators, so you don’t need a local physical SIM either. Needless to say, power and data operate concurrently in the RoamPlug.

Content creators, consultants, and small teams who move around a lot will find this useful. Also, anyone tired of juggling chargers and pocket Wi‑Fi devices.

That said, if you need 5G or enterprise‑grade VPNs, this might not tick every box. It seems better suited for freelancers and travellers who prize convenience over absolute top‑end cellular performance.
