With new volunteers stepping up for This Week in Plasma, there is a new issue out this week to highlight more development activities going into the upcoming KDE Plasma 6.6 desktop release.

With the end of year holidays past, KDE developers are back to working expeditiously on new feature activity for Plasma 6.6. Some of this week’s highlights include:

– Plasma 6.6 will allow you saving your current visual settings as a new global theme.

– The Bluetooth system tray widget added a “forget device” action.

– The Plasma log-out screen on capable systems will be able to indicate when restarting the system if it’s set by default to boot into a different operating system or boot option on reboot.

– The Power and Battery widget will now indicate what specific power management actions apps are blocking.

– The System Settings Thunderbolt page will now hide itself on systems lacking Thunderbolt connectivity.

– Spectacle now remembers the size of its man window across launches. Under X11 it will also remember the position of the window albeit that isn’t currently a possibility on Wayland.

– Various other widget improvements.

– Plasma 6.6 implemented support for the oo7 Secret Service provider.

– Various bug fixes like a bug that made Plasma quit when disconnecting the last screen.
