Apple is looking to continue its sales momentum in China with a limited-time discount campaign celebrating the Lunar New Year. Here are the details.

Discount amounts vary by product and configuration

Apple is gearing up to offer up to 1,000 yuan (roughly $143) off in select products during a four-day sales event next week, from January 24 to 27.

As Apple explains on its Chinese website, eligible devices include:

  • iPhone 16 / 16 Plus / 16e
  • Macs (MacBook Air M4, MacBook Pro M4/M5, Mac mini, iMac)
  • iPads (Pro M5, Air M3, iPad A16, iPad mini A17 Pro)
  • Apple Watch (Ultra 3, Series 11, SE 3)
  • AirPods (4, 4 ANC, Max)
  • Apple Pencil Pro

The promotion fine print states that the discounts will apply only when using select payment methods, including Alipay, WeChat Pay, and certain Chinese bank cards.

Apple also says there is a limit of 2 discounted units per product category per customer, that quantities are limited in retail stores, and that the promotion cannot be combined with other discounts (including business, employee, or education discounts).

There is, however, one exception. Chinese users will get to trade in eligible devices through Apple’s Trade In program.

This limited-time promotion comes as Apple rides renewed iPhone momentum in China, after shipments jumped 28% in the final quarter of 2025, driven by the success of the iPhone 17 line.

Despite the iPhone 17 line not being a part of the promotion, the campaign reflects Apple’s broader push to maintain sales momentum across other product categories in the country.
