WOMEN really do find well-endowed men more attractive, scientists have confirmed.
A study of people’s reactions to male body shapes found “bigger is better”.

Polling showed women were more likely to fancy a man who was tall, broad-shouldered and had a large penis.
Men in the survey were also more likely to respect or fear another male if they were well-hung.
Study author Dr Upama Aich, from the University of Western Australia, said: “Our study shows that penis size does influence how women rate male bodies, but it is not the only important factor.
“Height and body shape had a stronger effect overall.

“The speed of the ratings suggests these judgements are largely subconscious rather than through deliberate thought.”
The study asked 200 women and 600 men to react to computer-generated images of different male bodies.
They were rated more attractive to women and more threatening to men as they became taller, more “V-shaped” with a narrow waist and wide shoulders, and had a larger willy.
Writing in the journal Plos Biology, the researchers said this is probably hard-wired from evolution.
Before we invented clothes a man’s penis would always have been on display and larger size could indicate higher testosterone and lower levels of stress or fear, which cause it to shrink.
Study co-author Professor Michael D Jennions, from the Australian National University, said: “While the human penis functions primarily to transfer sperm, our result suggests its unusual large size evolved as a sexual ornament to attract females rather than purely as a badge of status to scare males, although it does both.”

The NHS says the average penis size is between 2.5 and 4 inches soft and 5 to 7 inches hard.
Previous research suggests up to seven out of 10 men worry about the size of their todger.
In the study, well-endowed men were rated more attractive regardless of their height or stature but the biggest benefits came from being tall and buff as well.
It did not consider the effect of the penis growing when erect.
Just how big is the average penis… really?
How far does the UK rank down the list?
A group of German scientists put together an “international comparison” of penis sizes.
They ranked average penis sizes across the world, from biggest to smallest, from 90 countries.
Ecaudor – 6.93in
Cameroon – 6.56in
Bolivia – 6.5in
Sudan – 6.48in
Haiti – 6.3in
Senegal – 6.26in
Netherlands – 6.25in
Frrance – 6.2in
Canada – 6.19in
Americans – 5.35in (60th place)
Brits – 5.17in (68th place)
Dr Aich added: “Increases in penis size improved attractiveness up to a point, but beyond that the gains became smaller.
“The plateau occurred above average, meaning bigger was better to some extent.
“We were very conscious that penis size is culturally loaded and surrounded by myths, humour and anxiety, but I think that makes it even more important to study.”
