Disney+ and Hulu have rolled out their combined login, so you can get Hulu either in its own app or as a Disney+ channel. The Hulu app is getting shut down sometime in 2026. Until then, Disney brings you the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu handles a more adult-oriented audience with movies and shows from network partners like Fox.
The two services release a ton of content every week, so I’ll make it easy for you by picking three worthwhile things to watch. At the end of January, we’ve got the latest Marvel show, Wonder Man, plus more TV from partner networks. The full list of content coming to the streaming services is below.
This Week on Hulu and Disney+: PCMag’s Picks
Naked And Afraid: Apocalypse (Jan. 24, Hulu)
How do you challenge a survivalist who has already braved some of the toughest landscapes on the planet with nothing but their body? Find the closest thing to a post-nuclear landscape and plop them down into it fully nude. Spin-off series Naked And Afraid: Apocalypse is an absolute hoot, with a dozen seasoned men and women working to get food, water, shelter, and safety in a sun-blasted African wasteland, scavenging the dregs of civilization. It’s like Survivor meets Mad Max.
Memory Of A Killer (Jan. 26, Hulu)
We’ve seen plenty of TV shows about hired killers, but this new Fox series brings a new twist to the genre. In Memory Of A Killer, Patrick Dempsey plays Angelo Flannery, a grizzled triggerman for the mob who has successfully insulated his family from his job. Unfortunately, he has early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, and as his recall fails, his pregnant daughter becomes a target. It’s based on a 2003 Belgian film.
Wonder Man (Jan. 27, Disney+)
It’s funny how the excitement level for Disney+’s Marvel shows seems to have waned over time. The trailer for Wonder Man even starts with “People are tired of superheroes,” and instead of dribbling them out an episode a week, they’re now dumping whole series on the same day. That said, this looks like it could be fun, as Simon Williams reads for the title role only to find that being a hero on the screen isn’t as easy as it seems.
