Alibaba has started preorders for its first self-developed _Quark AI Glasses_. The device is priced at ¥3,699 ($510) for members and ¥3,999 ($550) for regular buyers, with preorders now live on Tmall and deliveries expected in early December.

Powered by Qualcomm’s AR1 and BES2800 dual flagship chips, the glasses integrate Alibaba’s ecosystem services, offering AR navigation powered by AutoNavi Maps, secure visual payments through Alipay’s “Look” feature, visual product recognition on Taobao, and travel reminders from Fliggy, Alibaba’s travel service. It also features a SuperRaw night-mode system for clearer photos in low light. [IThome, in Chinese]
