Tribit has launched its latest pair of wireless headphones, and they’re aiming straight at one of the most competitive parts of the market.

The new QuietPlus 81 over-ear headphones bring hybrid active noise cancellation and marathon battery life to a price point that’s hard to ignore. That price is £49.99, or £34.99 on Amazon at launch.

That headline feature is ANC. Tribit aims is aiming these headphones at commuters, remote workers, and frequent travellers who want peace without paying premium prices. The QuietPlus 81 uses a hybrid noise-cancelling system powered by five microphones and AI-based noise reduction.

Tribit says it can cut background noise by up to 45dB. That’s the sort of spec we’d usually expect from much pricier headphones.

Audio is handled by 40mm dynamic drivers, with Tribit promising punchy bass and clear highs. Sound tuning isn’t locked in either. There are six EQ modes available through the Tribit app. These include a low-latency Game mode designed to keep audio close in sync, helpful when watching videos or playing on a phone.

Battery life is another area where the QuietPlus 81 punches above its weight. With ANC turned off, Tribit claims up to 110 hours of playback. This drops to 70 hours with ANC on. There’s also fast charging, delivering around five hours of listening from just ten minutes on charge. This should take some of the stress out of last-minute top-ups.

Bluetooth 6.0 handles connectivity, with the company claiming a range of up to 50 metres in open spaces. There is also multipoint pairing so you can stay connected to two devices at once for the multi-taskers out there

Elsewhere, the QuietPlus 81 includes a Transparency mode for letting outside sound back in, plus AI-assisted call microphones for clearer voice pickup in noisy environments. There’s also a Hearing Protection mode in the app that caps volume below 85dB.

In addition, you get physical controls on the headphones for volume and ANC; and at 283g, the design is lightweight and foldable, making them easy to throw into a bag.

Tribit isn’t trying to reinvent wireless headphones here — but at this price, the QuietPlus 81 looks like a compelling option. If the real-world ANC and sound quality live up to the spec sheet, these could be some of the best-value noise-cancelling headphones around right now.
