Aoostar has refreshed its G-Flip mini PC for 2026, featuring a distinctive 5.5-inch flip-up touchscreen and AMD’s new Ryzen 7 H255 processor, along with support for up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM.

The update delivers stronger performance than older Core models and continues to offer OCuLink and USB4 ports for external GPU expansion, ensuring enthusiasts can boost graphics power without swapping internal components.

The original G-Flip, launched in 2025, stood out with its unusual display that tilts between 0 and 65 degrees, offering a compact system with its own built-in screen. The latest version builds on that concept by adding the Ryzen 7 H255, an 8-core chip derived from the Ryzen 7 8745H.

Early benchmarks place it between Intel’s Core Ultra 7 155H and AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in CPU speed, although gaming performance still favours the Core Ultra 7. This balance of efficiency and expandability makes the G-Flip appealing for those seeking a small form factor PC that doesn’t compromise on versatility.

Connectivity is a highlight despite the small dimensions; with OCuLink and USB4, users can attach external GPUs, transforming the G-Flip into a workstation or gaming rig when needed. This flexibility is increasingly important as compact PCs evolve beyond simple office machines. Therefore, Aoostar’s design caters to enthusiasts who want portability without losing the option to scale performance.

Competition in the mini PC space has intensified. The Ayaneo Retro Mini PC AM01S, launched in 2025, featured a smaller 4-inch flip display and a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, while Kingdel’s Mini PC offered a larger 7-inch touchscreen with a full 0–90 degree flip. Both rivals highlight how integrated displays are becoming a trend, each targeting different user preferences. However, Aoostar’s balance of affordability and expandability gives it an edge.

The G-Flip starts at around $339, undercutting many competitors while still offering premium features such as dual USB4 ports, fingerprint unlocking, and vapour chamber cooling, and is available to buy in the US now.
