In recent days, China’s major automakers have released their sales and delivery figures for October 2025. SAIC Motor sold 454,000 vehicles in October, a 13% year-on-year increase, overtaking BYD to secure the top spot in China’s auto market. SAIC’s self-owned brands accounted for 67.4% of total sales, serving as the primary growth engine. The automaker also posted strong results in the new energy segment, with NEV (New Energy Vehicle) sales reaching 206,700 units—up 31.58% year-on-year. From January to October 2025, SAIC’s cumulative vehicle sales reached 3.647 million units, including 1.2895 million NEVs. [IThome, in Chinese]
