Nintendo’s latest Direct Partner Showcase revealed a slate of third-party announcements for Switch and Switch 2, spanning major ports, franchise updates, and new releases.

The presentation focused on externally developed titles rather than first-party projects, reinforcing Nintendo’s strategy of positioning Switch and Switch 2 as flexible platforms for established console and PC franchises.

Several previously rumoured ports were confirmed, with Nintendo using the showcase to outline near-term software support and set expectations for how third-party publishers plan to approach the Switch 2 transition.

Major third-party ports and franchise updates

Bethesda featured prominently during the showcase, confirming The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Nintendo platforms alongside Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Square Enix revealed a Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, signalling continued support for high-profile RPG releases and suggesting confidence in the new hardware’s ability to handle demanding modern ports.

Capcom also expanded its presence with Resident Evil Requiem on Switch 2, alongside confirmed releases of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections appeared as part of Capcom’s ongoing commitment to Nintendo platforms, continuing the publisher’s focus on RPG entries that translate well to handheld and hybrid play.

Bandai Namco confirmed multiple projects, including Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition and Digimon Story Time Stranger, reinforcing Nintendo’s position as a reliable home for long-running Japanese franchises.

Smaller releases, archives, and timing

Nintendo used the showcase to introduce a new Console Archives series alongside additional Arcade Archives titles, extending its strategy of preserving and monetising legacy games across modern hardware.

Indie and mid-scale releases filled much of the remaining runtime, with titles such as Orbitals, Turok: Origins, Scott Pilgrim EX, and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun receiving brief but focused trailers.

Sports and simulation updates included WWE 2K26, PGA Tour 2K25, Goat Simulator 3, and Disney Dreamlight Valley, highlighting continued third-party support across varied genres.

The announcements reinforce Nintendo’s reliance on partner-led software to sustain momentum between major first-party releases, particularly as attention shifts toward the early lifecycle of Switch 2.

Nintendo has not provided release windows for every title shown, though publishers are expected to share platform-specific launch details throughout 2026.
