With the price of new TVs likely on the rise in 2026, I’ve been recommending that readers upgrade now instead of later. Brands are gearing up to launch their next wave of TVs, and thanks to the ongoing RAM crisis, there’s no guarantee that they won’t be pricier than they were last year.
If you’re in the market for an OLED TV, here’s another reason for urgency: Right now, one of the best OLED deals around has a ticking clock attached to it. You can get the 65-inch Samsung S84F OLED for just $949 at Best Buy, but according to the listing, it’s set to expire on February 27. That’s over $1,000 off its original price, and one of the most affordable ways to secure a 65-inch OLED TV right now. (For more deals, check out our guide to the best OLED TV deals).
The S84F is an entry-level OLED, meaning it’s not as bright or as colorful as the mid-range Samsung S90F and the brand’s most recent flagship, the S95F OLED. Still, you can’t take the “OLED” out of an OLED TV; the S84F offers all of the benefits we’ve come to expect from this incredible display technology. We’re talking perfect black levels, ultra-wide viewing angles and pixel-level contrast control.
And, despite the S84F’s entry-level hardware, it still comes with many of the same streaming- and gaming-related features you’ll find on those higher-end Samsung OLED TVs. It supports 4K gaming at 120Hz (the is the highest 4K spec for current-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5) and comes with extra gaming enhancements like FreeSync support and G-Sync compatibility.
Samsung’s Tizen-based smart platform isn’t among my favorite software, but it’s app support is robust and it’s easy enough to pick up and learn. In other words, you can rely on it as a daily driver if you don’t want to use a streaming box.
As mentioned, if you’re interested in this $949 OLED TV, the clock is ticking. According to the listing, Best Buy is putting the kibosh on this deal on February 27.
