Pre-order deals are a fact of life in the phone market, but we rarely see a device that whips up the kind of interest the new Samsung Galaxy S26 phones have. Retailers are reporting that this generation is smashing records, with Best Buy seeing more than double the pre-order volume they had for the S26, and carriers are doing the same. At the Samsung Unpacked event, we were able to get hands-on time with all three models and came away deeply impressed. These are potent Android devices with lots of cool AI-powered features, and will be leading the pack for years to come. There’s under 24 hours left to secure a pre-order discount, so get on it.

At Amazon, not only do you get a $200 discount on the base price, but they’re also throwing in a $100 gift card to sweeten the deal. The base model S26 is an impressive-looking phone, with an aluminum frame, Gorilla Armor glass, and four finish options: Black, Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, or White. Under the hood, you’ll find a very potent Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor that powers Samsung’s impressive AI-loaded Android install. The vertical camera lens arrangement returns, with impressive optics for the price. One of the coolest new features combines both: the Horizon Lock option lets you essentially do hardware-free gimbal stabilization for videos. Improvements to the on-device Bixby assistant are also here, with third-party app integrations. Here’s our hands-on with all the new stuff.

The midrange model in the S26 line, the Galaxy S26+ represents incremental improvements over the base S26 for not much more money. The most notable differences (and you can check our comparison of all three for in-depth explanations) are a slightly bigger screen, a more capacious battery, and the addition of mmWave 5G connectivity, the fastest 5G currently available. If you’re pushing a lot of data, it might be worth the upgrade here. Amazon has a $200 price drop on this model as well, and they’ll throw in a $100 gift card.

The most impressive model in the S26 line is the Ultra, a wickedly advanced mobile with some sweet features. The one we were most dazzled by is the Privacy Display, a unique angled-pixel screen exclusive to the Ultra that blocks snoops and sneaks from looking at your screen. The technology behind it is super cool. It works kind of like those old-school lenticular pictures, where the phone can address individual pixels at different angles, so looking at it straight-on is bright and colorful, but from the side it’s gray and dim. You can turn this feature on and off in the settings menu. It also has the best camera array of the three, with a 200MP f/1.4 main camera, a 50MP f/1.9 ultra-wide lens, a 50MP f/2.9 telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Amazon has a discount and you get a $200 gift card with this one.
