Chinese automaker BYD recently announced a recruitment drive for its Embodied Intelligent Research Team, seeking senior algorithm engineers, senior structural engineers, and senior simulation engineers. The research areas include humanoid robots and bipedal robots. The recruitment targets 2025 master’s and Ph.D. graduates from global universities. According to BYD, the team has already developed products such as industrial robots, collaborative robots, mobile robots, and humanoid robots. Last month, during BYD’s 30th-anniversary celebration, Chairman Wang Chuanfu announced an RMB 100 billion ($13.73 billion) investment to integrate AI with automobiles and advance vehicle intelligence.
