The Huawei Mate 70 series, priced from RMB 5,499 ($758), sold out quickly online on its first day of sales on Wednesday, with the second sales round starting today. On the first day of sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO He Gang visited a Huawei store in Shenzhen, China, to personally deliver the new Mate 70 series phones to customers onsite. During a livestream interview last night, He claimed that pre-orders for the Huawei Mate 70 series had surpassed 6.7 million units. Additionally, residents of China’s Jiangsu Province can enjoy a 15% national subsidy discount when purchasing the phones in offline stores. [He Gang’s interview, in Chinese]
