Alibaba said its Cloud Intelligence Group revenue rose 36% year-over-year to RMB 43.28 billion ($6.19 billion) in the December quarter, with AI-related product revenue posting triple-digit growth for the tenth consecutive quarter. Excluding disposed businesses, the group’s total revenue grew 9% year-over-year on a like-for-like basis to RMB 284.84 billion ($40.73 billion).

The company also highlighted stronger consumer AI adoption, saying the Qwen App surpassed 300 million monthly active users across all platforms as of February. Alibaba said its quick commerce business grew 56% during the quarter, while Taobao Instant Commerce has been integrated into the Qwen App to support delivery orders through conversational AI.

Alibaba said it is continuing to scale investment in AI and cloud infrastructure, while advancing organizational changes tied to its full-stack AI strategy across models, chips, cloud, and applications. [TechNode reporting]
