Do you still have your PS VITA? So, why not try, you too, to overcome Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ ? Released in February 2013, this title is a port of the game Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2which was released on PS3 a few years earlier. The title also had the right to a remake in 2025.

The original PS3 game was already considered a relatively complicated title. But, the portable version on PS VITA was clearly a nameless hell. The statistics speak for themselves, since in 13 years, person had not yet managed to finish Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ 100% without cheating. At least, until today.

Finish Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ 100% on PS VITA means successfully completing all of the game’s quests and challenges, even beyond what is required to complete the main story. A major challenge which is extremely tough to the point where no player has really succeeded at the time of the game’s release. It will be 13 years and one month, on March 28, 2026, for a Japanese player responding to the nickname « Tqvry » finally achieves it.

It is through this feat that he was able to win the famous platinum trophy awarded by PlayStation to players who complete a title 100%. For this, Tqvry trained for more than 20 months on the game with a final run of 10 hours non-stop to achieve the objective. As we live in a very connected age, this feat was of course captured and available on YouTube.

To give you an idea of the difficulty of the game, this last 10-hour run, available on YouTube, is dedicated to the last completion of the game which asks players to face a triple boss (three characters to fight at the same time).

Where our Japanese player stands out is that he is the very first to have completed the “ cooperation ” of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ on the highest difficulty. Basically, this mode shouldn’t be that difficult. Unfortunately, on PS VITA, the cooperation mode did not allow online play. So the second player was replaced by extremely bad AI. In just a few seconds, the game could sometimes fail in the computer-controlled character being evil and already getting killed.

Very quickly, fans realized that, in practice, it was simply not possible to complete the cooperation mode in the game. Making it impossible to obtain the platinum trophy. Tqvry was lucky, since he was confronted with a lucky and unintentional bug which blocked the third boss for a few seconds. These few seconds of bugs allowed him to have a little more time to defeat the other two bosses. A great feat from this Japanese player.
