Microsoft has concluded by far the largest business deal for Microsoft 365 Copilot: Accenture is introducing the AI assistant for its workforce of around 743,000 employees.

According to Microsoft, the reason is the positive experiences from a previous smaller rollout. In a survey last year involving 200,000 Accenture users, 97 percent said they completed routine tasks up to 15 times faster with Copilot. More than half (53 percent) reported significant improvements in productivity and efficiency.

In general, things seem to be going better with Copilot than expected. When announcing the latest quarterly figures, CEO Satya Nadella explained that the number of companies with more than 50,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses had quadrupled. In total, Microsoft now has 20 million paid enterprise licenses – in January there were still 15 million. (mb)
