The configuration of the network is crucial for the stability, security and performance of virtualized environments. It forms the basis for reliable communication between virtual machines, containers and physical hosts and significantly influences aspects such as reliability, scalability and performance. Incorrect or inadequately planned network concepts, on the other hand, can quickly lead to bottlenecks, security gaps or difficult-to-understand disruptions in ongoing operations.

In the Network Architectures with Proxmox VE workshop – complex networks for data centers and clusters, you will learn how to professionally plan, secure and optimize scalable Proxmox VE networks. To do this, you will first look at the basics of the network stack in Proxmox VE before you practice using advanced bridge and link aggregation configurations. You will then train how to efficiently implement and monitor secure firewall structures at the level of data centers, nodes and virtual machines using dynamic rules.
Benefit from practical experience
You benefit directly from the expertise of your trainer Yannick Haymann. With over 15 years of experience in complex IT infrastructures, he supports companies in the conception and implementation of modern data center, virtualization and network architectures.
He not only teaches the technical basics and advanced concepts, but also places them in real application scenarios. You will receive concrete practical advice, proven approaches to solutions as well as valuable tips and shortcuts for implementation in a productive environment.

You will also learn about different concepts of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) in Proxmox VE. You will practice setting up SDN zones, setting up VXLAN overlays for cross-cluster networks, and implementing BGP-EVPN for large deployments. Additionally, you will learn how to isolate tenant networks with SDN and control traffic efficiently. Additionally, you will consider techniques such as SR-IOV, DPDK and VirtIO optimizations to maximize network performance in virtualized environments. With practical troubleshooting, monitoring and targeted performance analysis, you will acquire skills that can be used directly in everyday working life.
For everyone who uses Proxmox productively in an enterprise environment
This workshop is aimed at experienced administrators who use Proxmox for virtualization and want to implement complex network requirements. It is also suitable for system architects who design secure multi-tenant environments.
