The Walt Disney Company is ready to make Hulu a brand recognized around the world. The streaming service hitherto reserved for American territory is finally preparing its international launch. Across the Atlantic, Hulu will soon merge with Disney+ to be one, the opportunity for the big ears firm to make a similar change in other regions. The company confirmed the news during its last quarterly financial report. Hulu suck donc to deviir “A global entertainment brand“From this fall”By replacing the Star tab of International Disney+ versions“.
For the time being, the French interface of Disney+ offers access to the following universes: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star. The latest tab now serves as a Fourretout for the more mature content of the platform, which users can restrict via a parental control system. There are Hulu productions, such as Only Murders in the Buildingbut also fx creations as Alien Earth which will enter the catalog on August 13. The Walt Disney Company has not yet specified the new destination for Hulu unstoppted programs which will therefore be deprived of the more generalist star banner.
In a shared press release following the financial report, the Disney teams add: “We are already working on the continuous improvement of our technology and, in the coming months, we will implement many improvements within the Disney+application, in particular new exciting features and a more personalized home page.”The appearance of a FX tab is therefore not to be avoided. The company also takes the opportunity to press its widest long -term objective:“All this work will lead to the implementation of a unified streaming application between Disney+ and Hulu which will be made available to consumers next year.”
The entire content Hulu soon with us?
Despite the dissemination of a large proportion of the Hulu catalog under the star banner, the French remain deprived of part of the US exclusive productions, while sometimes suffering from an unequal dissemination rate. While the series take advantage of a weekly broadcast in the United States, some programs arrive in France only when all the episodes were released in the territory of origin. In view of the declarations of the Walt Disney Company, the subscribers of France can therefore expect a homogenization of the Hulu offer via Disney+. These changes may not arrive at the same time as the disappearance of a star, but could emerge when the new application of the platform will be deployed next year.
