Fujifilm just dropped a new camera that blends old-school charm with modern simplicity, The Fujifilm X half (X-HF1) comes with a vertical-first shooting experience and a compact design that is perfect for content creators and casual shooters.

The X half packs a 17.74MP 1-inch CMOS sensor that is paired with a fixed 32mm f/2.8 lens that features a 3-blade aperture and contrast-detect autofocus with eye and face tracking. The standout feature is that it defaults to a 3:4 vertical aspect ratio, which is perfect for Instagram and YT shorts. It can also shoot vertical video up to 1080×1440 at 48 fps, with the ability to stitch multiple clips or even photos and videos into one wide format file.

There’s no built-in image stabilisation, but you do get a physical film advance lever and a reverse Galilean optical viewfinder for that vintage feel. Fujifilm even included a film camera mode to simulate the analog shooting experience. The film camera mode paired with the film-style filters and it gives an instant nostalgic shooting experience.

The Fujifilm X half offers shutter speeds ranging from 1/2000 of a second up to a long 15-minute exposure, with an ISO range of 200 to 12,800 for flexible shooting in various lighting conditions. It features a 2.4-inch 4:3 LCD screen with 0.92 million dots for clear image preview. It has all the connectivity options ranging from fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, to even a USB-C for easy file transfer.

The camera also supports SDXC memory cards up to a massive 2TB, giving plenty of storage for photos and videos. The camera is also super compact and weighs just 240g with the battery and memory card included. Its small and portable design makes it perfect for anyone who wants a hassle-free way to quickly capture moments while travelling.

The Fujifilm X Half is priced at $849.99 (approximately Rs 73,097) and will go on sale in June 2025. It’s not in India yet, but Fujifilm might bring it here since social media is booming and people want cool digital cameras to capture their memories.
