A new game in the Katamari series, Once Upon a Katamari, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 October 24. The game was announced today during a Nintendo Direct, along with release dates, reveals, and updates for several others. Today’s Direct was focused on third-party developers, with many games releasing ahead of the holiday season, as Nintendo steadily builds its offerings on the new console.

Much like previous games in the series, players in Once Upon a Katamari steadily roll up everything they can find, from chairs to people, to create an evergrowing ball of junk. This time around the King of All Cosmos has accidentally destroyed Earth, and players will travel through different historical eras to restore both the planet and the stars. The game includes online battles with up to four players, as well as character customization, and will also launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

Also on the way: two games from Square Enix reminiscent of Super Nintendo-era RPGs, Octopath Traveler 0 and The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Octopath Traveler 0, launching for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, is a prequel to the acclaimed series launching December 4. The game lets players to make their own customized protagonist and recruit more than 30 party members. The Adventures of Elliot is a new game from Square Enix, though it won’t be available until next year. The game takes place in Philabieldia—no, not Philadephia—where Elliot and his fairy travel embark on a time-traveling journey.

Nintendo will also bring several ports to the Switch 2, including Star Wars Outlaws (September 4), Final Fantasy Tactics—The Ivalice Chronicles (September 30), and Persona 3 Reload (October 23).

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, which acts as a prequel story to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is expected to launch this winter. A new Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, will also come to the Switch 2 next year. More games are expected to launch this fall for the console.
