Adobe has announced a new app, Adobe Content Authenticity, that allows users to add credentials along with Artificial Intelligence (AI) labels. The platform has been released to aid the creators in working on audio files, images, and videos. As of now, the feature is available as a Chrome Extension. By the first quarter of 2025, the free web app of the same will also be available for public beta.
Users can sign up for the same by already signing up for the same via the official Adobe website. In addition, Adobe has also mentioned that the platform’s primary focus will be to protect the work of creators from misuse or misrepresentation and build a digital and reliable ecosystem. The application will also work as a medium to shop for all the creators.
They can use the same to add the Content Credentials which could be dubbed the information added to the metadata of a file highlighting details about its creator. Moreover, creators can also choose the information they want to share like websites, social media accounts, and names. As claimed by Adobe, the Content Credentials will save the creators from misuse and unauthorized use of work. Additionally, the web app will also allow the users to mark if they want their content to be used for training AI models or not.

As clearly mentioned by Adobe, they only use publicly available content (or the one they have permission to use) to train Adobe Firefly, their in-house generative AI model. Furthermore, the company has also said that they will work on the industry-wide adoption of the Content Credentials feature.
