Orlando was the stage of SUSECON 2025the annual event in which SUSE, European reference in open source business solutions, presented its novelties for the coming months. He did it with a series of ads that mark significant advances in cloud management, security and its Linux offer, among others. We collect below.

SUSE LINUX: More stability and flexibility with new versions

SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP7 Mark the last update within series 15 and is designed to offer long -term stability and safety. With general support until 2031 and Long Term Service Support (LTSS) extended until 2037, it provides the ideal basis for companies that seek continuity and compatibility with latest generation hardware. In addition, this version reinforces security with support for Confidential Computing and optimizations in compatibility with the latest technological platforms.

For its part, SUSE Linux 16still in development, represents a significant change in the evolution of business Linux. Built on Framework One, introduces a modular and flexible life cycle that facilitates continuous innovation. In addition, this version offers deeper integration with security technologies such as Selinux, ensuring compliance with the strictest certifications of the industry. With a renewed installation interface and improved administration tools such as NetworkManager and ANSIBLE, SUSE LINUX 16 is optimized for hybrid environments and multinube.

Among the other improvements presented in this section are:

  • SUSE Multi-Linux Support: expands compatibility with distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Centos, allowing fluid migrations and offering extended support.
  • SUSE Multi-Linux Manager 5.1: Incorporates improvements in roles management, anxible integration and online synchronization for efficient administration of distributed environments.
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server para SAP 16: It presents automation by ANSIBLE and improvements in high availability, reinforcing its suitability for critical workloads such as SAP Hana.

Sus Rancher Prime: More Integration and New Capabilities

One of the great ads of the event was the evolution of Suse Rancher Prime, which expands its capabilities to manage workloads in the cloud with greater integration and new certifications. The platform now offers:

  • SUSE RANCHER FOR SAP APPLICATIONS: Designed specifically for SAP environments, allows fluid integration with SAP cloud solutions. Based on SUSE RANCHER PRIME AND KUBERNETES, it facilitates the modernization of business infrastructure by providing an optimized environment for SAP containerized applications.
  • Certification with Temenos Core: This alliance allows financial institutions to modernize their bank infrastructure through kubernettes with guaranteed safety and scalability.
  • SUSE Private Registry (Early Access): A new Harbor -based solution, which offers a private and reliable container record, ideal for environments with connectivity restrictions.
  • DevX Validated Designs: It provides componable workflows for developers, optimizing the transition from the code to production with tools such as gitea, gitlab and Fleet.
  • Modernization of virtualization: With the new version of SUSE Virtualization 1.5, compatibility with storage suppliers such as Dell, Netapp and Oracle is expanded, guaranteeing greater flexibility.
  • Saas expansion: SUSE RANCHER HOSted, available since April 2025, offers a cloud -managed service, while SUSE APPLICATION COLLECTION and SUSE Cloud Observability arrive at AWS Marketplace, providing preconfigured applications and advanced monitoring tools.

Security: Integration with Microsoft Sentinel and advanced protection

Security is still a key pillar for SUSE. In its 2025, the integration of SUSE Security was announced with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Security Copilot, offering:

  • Centralized visibility: SUSE Security’s event data is channeled directly to Sentinel, allowing a unified management of threats.
  • Automated response: Thanks to the AI ​​of Security Copilot, suspicious patterns are identified and automated alerts are emitted with preventive actions, reducing response times.
  • Improved security posture: The combination of SUSE RANCHER Prime with Sentinel strengthens security in Kubernetes environments, optimizing protection against sophisticated cyber attacks.

As always, its 25 was not only the scene of important technological ads, but also a space for learning and collaboration. Throughout the event the attendees participated in Keynotes taught by industry leaders, technical workshops and practical sessions that explored the capabilities of the new solutions; There were success cases of companies that have implemented SUSE technologies to modernize their infrastructure.
