AerynOS 2025.08 Released With Many Package Updates

AerynOS 2025.08 ISOs are now available as the third release of the year for this innovative Linux distribution formerly known as Serpent OS.

AerynOS has been landing many package updates since this previous release. Some of the recent updates include new desktops such as GNOME 48.4, KDE Plasma 6.4.4, Sway 1.11, and COSMIC Alpha 7. Linux 6.15.11 is powering AerynOS currently along with the brand new Mesa 25.2.1 graphics drivers. LLVM 20.1.8, uutils-coreutils 0.1, and sudo-rs 0.2.7 are some of the other notable updates. Some new packages have also been added to the distribution such as Waydroid, OpenVPN, Protontricks, and Winetricks.

AerynOS also continues enhancing its installation experience, improving Virtual Machine (VM) usage, documentation improvements, and other progress on the platform.
