Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen team has added two new dense models—2B and 32B—to its Qwen3-VL family, expanding support for visual-language understanding tasks. The company said both models are lightweight enough to run on smartphones and designed to be more “developer-friendly.” According to the team, Qwen3-VL-32B delivers performance comparable to larger models like GPT-5 mini and Claude 4 Sonnet, while the 2B version enables efficient deployment on edge devices.
