Alienware pulls out all the stops: its new Area-51 products compatible with the RTX 50
Here is a new addition to Alienware’s Area-51 range. The Area-51 tower is capable of supporting NVIDIA’s new RTX 50 graphics cards as well as the most powerful processors on the market including the Intel Core Ultra 9 285. In addition, it can accommodate dual-channel RAM up to 64 GB of DDR5 XMP (2x 32 GB) at 6400 MT/s and up to 8 TB of storage via an NVMe M.2 SSD.
« By combining large fans with advanced liquid cooling solutions, the positive pressure design moves 25% more air through the chassis. Result: Area-51 reduces its temperature by 13% and its noise level by 45% during the most demanding graphics tasks. These advances translate into a concrete improvement in performance, with processing power increased by 50% » assure Alienware.
If you are new to PC assembly or simply want to save time, know that QR codes inside the chassis will redirect you to Instructional videos detailing steps for performing upgrades or replace RAM, GPU, SSD or PSU. The Area-51 tower will be available in the first quarter only with certain configurations, initially.
The new Area-51 series laptops are available in 18 and 16 inches. They feature an Intel Core Ultra 9 275H processor and Nvidia’s new RTX 50 graphics cards. We find a QHD screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz for the 16-inch version and 300 Hz for the 18-inch model.
Note that these are the first Alienware laptops to integrate 5th generation SSD hard drives. « This storage technology offers the best data throughput per watt, ensuring performance and efficiency for all user activities. Thanks to Microsoft Direct Storage, the GPU can now directly access SSDs, allowing games to load and run faster », rejoices the company. The laptops will be released during the first quarter at an as-yet unknown Price.
