Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5 with a starting price of $450. At launch, there will be a wide selection of games, including a few first-party titles and a lot of third-party titles, especially some AAA games that were never available on the original Switch.

Nintendo held its big reveal for the Switch 2 on Wednesday, unveiling the new console as well as showing off a lot of games coming to the system at launch. The games weren’t priced, but the newer, AAA games are likely to be priced at $70, while digital games should come in at a lesser price. Mario Kart World appears to be an outlier as Nintendo has a suggested price for the game at $80.

There were also no specifics on what games will be available digital-only and what games will have a physical release. A few games were previously released on the original Switch, but will now be available as Switch 2 versions. This means these versions will have updated graphics and make use of the Switch 2’s new features, but Nintendo has yet to provide specifics on each game.

The Switch 2 will have more games planned after the launch, including a new game featuring Donkey Kong called Donkey Kong Bananza. Of all the games announced, the biggest news was an exclusive game from FromSoftware. The developer of Elden Ring, which is also heading to the Switch 2, is making a new title called The Duskbloods. There weren’t many details provided in the game’s trailer, but it does have the same look and feel as the developer’s other games, including Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

Retailers will have preorders for the Switch 2 open on April 9. Nintendo has its own preorder process, which is a little different to prevent scalpers from buying up all the systems.
