Every month, Amazon dishes out freebies to its paying Prime members.

It’s part of a scheme called Prime Gaming, which every single Prime member is eligible for.

So if your Prime membership is active, you can claim loads of free video games every single month.

They’ll also be yours to keep. Just claim them before they disappear and they’ll stay in your game libraries for good.

And you’ll still be able to play them even if you quit Prime at a later date.

The big catch to Prime Gaming is that the list of freebies are on a rolling basis.

So they’re swapped out every month with a new lot for you to claim.

That means if you missed the previous month’s haul then you’re out of luck – they’re gone.

Savvy Prime customers will want to check in regularly to make sure that they’re getting the full selection of freebies.

Each month, Amazon issues a new selection of games that drop in waves.

Each wave arrives on a Thursday, so the full batch only becomes available towards the end of the month.

For October, the waves are released on October 2, October 9, October 16, October 23, and October 30.

That means you can now claim £153.91 worth of games, with a full haul worth £189.24 available next week.

One of the most recognisable titles in this week’s line-up is XCOM 2, which is a 2016 turn-based tactics game.

“Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces,” Amazon explained.

“XCOM, the planet’s last line of defence, was left decimated and scattered.

“Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.”

And there are several games that are themed around the paranormal as we approach Halloween.

They include:

  • Tormented Souls
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Reckoning of New York
  • True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1
  • Hellslave
  • True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2
  • You Will Die Here Tonight
  • Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest
  • Halloween Stories: Horror Movie Collector’s Edition

So if you’re looking for a fright this Halloween, these are some great options.
